VW had the most reports with 3,073, Adidas followed with 521 and BASF with 453. Fresenius came with 375, Bayer with 372 and Siemens with 363. At the bottom end are BMW with eight, Symrise with 24 and Vonovia with 45 whistleblower reports. 22 of the 40 DAX companies provided no information at all about the reports they had received in the fight against grievances and violations of the law in the company. These include SAP, Henkel, Porsche and RWE.

However, these reports only become comparable when they are related to the respective number of employees, specifically how many reports were made per 1,000 employees. Then Munich Reinsurance is in first place with almost eleven reports per thousand employees. They are followed by Adidas in second place with almost nine, Rheinmetall in third with almost seven and Heidelberg Materials with almost five, as well as VW. According to this rating, the car manufacturer only ends up in fifth place. At the bottom are Allianz, BMW, Daimler Truck, Telekom and Mercedes-Benz, all of which received less than a single report per 1,000 employees.
