Japan: unemployment rate at 2.6% in April, better estimates

Japan’s unemployment rate stood at 2.6% in April, better than the 2.7% expected by economists.

The number of jobs available for every 100 jobseekers was 132, as in the previous month.

Japan’s unemployment rate fell for the first time in three months, down from 2.8% in March.
