Premier Li Qiang Engages with Overseas Buyers at China Import and Export Fair
In a significant event on the afternoon of April 17, 2024, Premier Li Qiang held a discussion with representatives of overseas buyers participating in the 135th China Import and Export Fair, commonly known as the Canton Fair, in Guangzhou. The meeting included leaders from prominent overseas companies such as Intelligent IKEA, Wal-Mart, Koper, Lulu International, Meirzhen, Alzum, Nitori, Auchan, Shengpai, Kesko, and Changyou.
During the discussion, the representatives of overseas buyers shared their experiences of strengthening cooperation with China through the Canton Fair. They praised the fair for playing a crucial role in promoting trade and fostering friendly relations between China and countries worldwide. The attendees expressed confidence in China’s economic development prospects and expressed their willingness to continue expanding their operations in China using the Canton Fair as a platform.
Additionally, the entrepreneurs provided valuable insights on developing a circular economy, promoting a green economy, improving the business environment in China, and enhancing personnel exchanges between China and foreign countries.
