Maspero lifts for the new Mareterra district of the Principality of Monaco

Maspero Elevatori, active in the design, construction and maintenance of special lift systems, has been awarded a contract worth a total of 3.8 million euros, for the construction of 24 lift systems for the Mareterra project in the Principality of Monaco and signed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Valode & Pistre Architectes and Michel Desvigne’s landscape studio.

The works will begin at the end of 2021 and the systems will be produced and installed by the end of 2024. Maspero was chosen by the contractor who is taking care of the works for the entire project, Sam L’Anse Du Portier, the Bouygues Travaux Publics consortium, J.-B. Pastor & Fils and En.ge.co.

«The plants, designed and built specifically for Mareterra, will be highly resistant to the saline environment and to the wind. Mareterra, conceived as a tribute to the Mediterranean, is an eco-friendly real estate project that focuses in particular on technology, design and sustainability and includes 152 thousand square meters of sea filling that will integrate with the profile of the coasts, as a natural extension of the territory. From Port Hercule to Larvotto beach, a lush park, an elegant promenade overlooking the sea, a small harbor, an artificial swimming pool, a complex of luxury apartments, an important residential area composed of villas surrounded by large areas will wind. green areas as well as spaces open to the public, with large pedestrian and cycle paths. The capacity of the elevators varies from 450 to one thousand kg for those of luxury apartment buildings, up to 1,600 kg for the two panoramic systems for public use of the Periscope, the metal and glass structure that will connect the Le Petit Portier marina to the Place Princesse Gabriella , in the center of the Upper Promenade. Some of the lifts in the apartment complex will also be made of crystal, to offer a view of the bay.
