Windows 11 has been launched today, and users have several ways to upgrade to the new operating system. These include the standard upgrade process on Windows 10 after providing options in the settings, or using the installation assistant or taking the ISO image path.Although the company still only recommends upgrading to Windows 11 on officially supported systems, it has provided users on unsupported computers with a way to continue the upgrade.

The solution is to bypass the CPU’s TPM check by adjusting the registry. In fact, this is almost exactly the same method that GitHub users used to create their Universal MediaCreationTool (MCT).
The company reiterated on its warning page that unsupported PCs may also miss security updates, and let such users accept this disclaimer first. When asked about this question, Microsoft’s David Weston explained in an interview today why there are such strict requirements around TPM 2.0 and virtualization-based security (VBS) in the new operating system.
