Moscow nationalizes planes, companies cut flights around the world: it’s a perfect storm in the skies

Russia is ready to nationalize the planes owned by leasing companies currently blocked in the fleets of Russian airlines after the sanctions introduced against Moscow in the aftermath of the start of the conflict with Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Transport has presented a bill to be submitted to the Duma to allow airlines such as Aeroflot, S7 Airlines and AirBridgeCargo to register leased aircraft in Russia.
