Positive Wall Street futures pending test not farm payrolls

Slightly positive pitch for Wall Street futures (+ 0.11% for the Dow Jones, + 0.16% for the S&P 500 and + 0.14% for the Nasdaq.

Today the spotlight is on non-farm payrolls. The consensus on the Bloomberg survey is 750,000 new non-farm jobs added in August. “A significant deviation from the consensus could give a different shade to the Fed’s expectations ahead of the weekly closing bell,” recalls Ipek Ozkardeskaya, Senior Analyst at Swissquote, a leading Swiss online banking company listed on the Zurich Stock Exchange.
