It’s called Voyah and it is the premium brand of Dongfeng Motor, a Chinese mega group that recently hit the news for the possibility of opening a factory in Italy and for the collaboration with the Molise-based DR. With Voyah it aims to offer a series of hybrid and electric models with interesting on paper contents.

Voyah Free

Announced in 2022 among the models arriving in Europe, the Voyah Free will arrive in Italy in the coming months combined with maxi SUV lines with a length of almost five meters. Under the bodywork lies a 490 horsepower electric motor capable of guaranteeing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and combined with a 106 kWh battery pack capable of bringing the range to over 500 kilometers . In addition to the Free, the Chinese manufacturer showed the Dream, a multispace vehicle with important lines, 5.3 meters long and offered with a 100% electric or 1.5 petrol plug-in hybrid engine. Completing the list of vehicles is the electric and plug-in hybrid Passion sedan and the hydrogen-powered iCozy concept.

“Italy is one of the largest European automotive markets and for a Chinese car manufacturer, having local production means being able to supply all the other countries in the area,” said Qian Xie, head of Dongfeng’s European activities on the sidelines of the Voyah event organized during the days of Design Week and Fuorisalone 2024.
