Multiple people were injured in an accident on the set of a new film starring Eddie Murphy, according to Amazon MGM Studios. The incident occurred while filming the comedy movie “The Pickup.”

A spokesperson for Amazon MGM Studios stated, “Unfortunately, the sequence did not go as planned, and several members of the team were injured. We are still in the process of collecting data on what happened and why.”

The accident took place on a set in Atlanta, Georgia, as reported by the Hollywood website Deadline. Local media confirmed that medical units arrived to assist the injured individuals at the filming location.

“The Pickup” is directed by Tim Story, known for his work on films such as “The Fantastic Four,” “Go Patrol,” “The Departed Miami,” and “Tom and Jerry.” The movie is part of Eddie Murphy’s agreement with Amazon MGM Studios signed in September 2021.
