Grateful to be alive, actress Laura Flores shared her terrifying experience of suffering a cerebral microinfarction after undergoing a cosmetic treatment on her legs called sclerotherapy before Easter. In an emotional recount, she warned others of the dangers of having such procedures done by unsuitable doctors.
Speaking from Mexico City, where she is filming the soap opera “Tu Vida es mi Vida” for Televisa, Laura revealed that she had been receiving sclerotherapy treatments for over 20 years without being properly informed of the risks. She had been seeing a dermatologist for the procedure instead of an angiologist, as recommended.
Recalling the frightening moment when she suffered the microinfarction, Laura described how she suddenly lost her speech and had to be rushed to the hospital. After receiving medical treatment in Mexico, she decided to travel to the United States for further evaluation and follow-up care.
Doctors in the US conducted thorough tests and discovered a scar on her brain, indicating the severity of the incident. Laura expressed her gratitude for being alive and attributed her survival to a miracle.
