The key points
- Giorgio Armani has canceled the Emporio and Giorgio Armani shows scheduled for Milano Moda Uomo
- The Armani Privé fashion show in Paris has also been canceled
A decision made “reluctantly”, but with the aim of protecting the health of professionals and guests: Giorgio Armani is the first (and, for now, only) to have formalized the cancellation of the men’s and high fashion shows at cause of the surge in Covid-19 infections across Europe.
With a short note, the Milanese fashion house announced the cancellation of the Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani men’s autumn / winter 2022/23 shows, scheduled during Milan fashion week, and the Giorgio Armani Privé spring / summer 2022 Haute Couture show, scheduled for Parisian Haute Couture week
“The fashion show remains, as the designer has repeatedly declared, a fundamental and irreplaceable moment, but the protection of the health and safety of collaborators and the public is once again a priority”, reads.
A dejà vu that brings back memories to two years ago, when the coronavirus epidemic began to rage in the Old Continent – and, in particular, in Italy – during the Milan fashion week.
