Celebrating Excellence: Highlights from the 13th Beijing International Online Film Festival’s “Lightyear Awards”

The 13th Beijing International Online Film Festival wrapped up with the highly anticipated announcement of the “Lightyear Awards” at a grand ceremony honoring outstanding works and talents in the film industry.

In the online drama section, “Koi is a Technical Job” was recognized as the most popular drama series, while producer Xu Qian received the best producer honor for “Shi Junfeng’s Case Story.” Directors Jin Tao, Wen Hongyi, and Luo Yingjie were also lauded as the best directors for their respective works, “House Love”, “The Marriage”, and “Anti-Fraud in Northern Myanmar: Love in Jianghu”. Two works, “Friday After get off work” and “Jianxin”, shared the honor for the best online drama, showcasing the diversity and excellence in online drama production.

Meanwhile, in the short film category, “Priceless Youth” and “Ten Thousand Houses of Lights” were awarded the best short film, with director Hu Lu receiving the best director honor for “The Other Shore”. The documentary works “A Hundred Years of Sui Division” and “The Red Messenger of the Party” also garnered the honor of best documentary. The best original music award went to the work “Dream with Me.”

Famed performing artist Zhu Xijuan was presented with the lifetime achievement award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to the field of film acting over the years.

In the main online film competition section, directors, screenwriters, and producers showcased their creative talents with works such as “Changsha Nightlife”, “Book and Sword Enmity”, and “Silence Showdown” receiving top honors.

Additionally, various companies and individuals were recognized in the industry recognition unit, with Zhejiang Dongyang Ruiyi Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd. and Guangdong Qizhenlima Film Co., Ltd. receiving accolades as the best production company and the most influential company of the year, respectively. Several directors and actors were also honored for their outstanding contributions to the industry.
