Chilean singer Julianno Sosa was shot and injured in Santiago de Chile while traveling in his vehicle, as reported by sources close to the artist. The incident took place in the commune of Peñaflor, where Sosa was allegedly heading to shoot a music video. The Carabineros of Chile confirmed that the shooting occurred around 7:00 pm local time in an area known as ‘Camino del Guanaco’.

According to Captain Sebastián Adams Merino of the Carabineros, two individuals approached Sosa asking for a photograph before one of them pulled out a firearm and fired two shots, hitting the singer in the left shoulder and right arm. In an attempt to flee, Sosa accidentally ran over a woman who was also taken to the hospital with injuries.

Police authorities are currently investigating the incident and trying to apprehend the perpetrators. Sosa, also known as César Pozo, had recently been working on a new project that included collaborations with other artists, such as the Spanish singer Morad. The production company SFB & KREAMLY had revealed that Sosa’s new album featured a song called ‘My Hood’, recorded during a concert in Santiago.

Despite facing legal issues in the United States and Chile, including deportation and arrests, Sosa has been a prominent figure in the urban music scene. Born in the Puente Alto commune, Sosa began his music career influenced by rap and trap music. His songs like ‘Cochinae’ and ‘Perrea KTM’ have earned him a significant following in Latin America.

The news of the shooting has shocked fans and industry insiders, who are hoping for Sosa’s speedy recovery. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers artists face in the pursuit of their craft and the importance of safety measures in the entertainment industry.
