China Conservatory of Music celebrates the New Year with online and offline performances
The China Conservatory of Music is gearing up to celebrate the Chinese New Year with a series of online and offline performances. The highlight of the celebrations is the “Dragon Music New Year – 2024 New Year Special Concert” scheduled to take place at the Central Opera House Theater on the evening of January 27.
Conducted by the talented young conductor King Kong, the China Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra will treat the audience to a Chinese concert filled with the festive spirit of the Lunar New Year. The concert will feature familiar traditional Chinese music such as the “Spring Festival Overture” and “Festival Overture”. Additionally, performances by young guzheng player Cao Zhaozhao and violin performer Li Yuhe will add to the immersive Chinese New Year atmosphere.
The celebrations will not be confined to the offline concert as the China Conservatory of Music has planned a series of online performances with the theme of “Chinese Music·Chinese Music·Chinese Year” from January 22 to the Lantern Festival. These performances will be broadcast on various online platforms such as Beijing TV, People’s Daily Online, Xueqiangguo, and CCTV, ensuring that the joyous festivities reach a wider audience.
With an array of performances showcasing the rich and diverse musical heritage of China, the China Conservatory of Music is all set to usher in the Year of the Dragon with music, tradition, and celebration.
