CERNOBBIO – The history of cars, beauty and elegance increasingly belong to Italy. Thus, at the Concorso d’eleganza of Villa d’Este, the most prestigious event in the world for the historic car sector, it was two Italian models that won the two prizes. The “Gold Cup”, awarded thanks to the votes of the public, went to the Lancia Dilambda Series I Drop Head Coupé of 1930, brought to the competition by Filippo Sole while the main “Best of Show” prize awarded by the Competition Jury was it was won by American Brian Ross who presented a 1956 Ferrari 250 GT TDF Coupé Pinin Farina.
This was therefore the epilogue of the special edition of the Villa d’Este Elegance Competition, sponsored by BMW Classic, which saw fifty extraordinary cars parade in the gardens of the Grand Hotel on Lake Como, belonging to eight decades, which summarize the most evocative and exciting interpretations in the history of the automobile.
The models have been divided into eight classes which highlight the most exciting and attractive interpretations in automotive history.
