Telling is a profession and therefore you need a school to learn how to do it. Tools and passion must never be disconnected. The name is already a program: Jack London. The courses take place in Fermo, in the Marche region and combine different but inseparable disciplines: journalism, photography, but also anthropology, art history, literature, poetry. The school was born from an idea of ​​the writer Angelo Ferracuti and the photographer Giovanni Marrozzini, united by a profession, that of reportage, which embodies the task of witnessing but which wants to remain, as since the days of its inspirer Jack London, a work and a passion. A school to learn a trade, that of storytelling, declined not only on literature and art, but also and above all on journalism, on the story of companies and realities, to give communication the ethical and social value that today more than ever it is necessary.

Courses start on November 1st and last three months. To register, you must fill out an application on the site, until 31 August there is the possibility to apply for the three scholarships available, named after Lucia Vitali Rosati.

Among others, they will teach at the school Jack London Ascanio Celestini, Helena Janeczek (writer, Premio Strega 2018), Franco Arminio (writer), Christian Caliandro (art critic), Giovanna Calvenzi (photographer and photo editor), Renata Ferri (chief photo editor) di IoDonna), Manuela Fugenzi (photo editor, coordinator of the ISFCI School of Photojournalism), Marino Sinibaldi (president of the MIC Center for Book and Reading and former director of Rai Radio Tre).

The School was promoted by the cultural association “Jack London” with the contribution of the Municipality of Fermo, Solgas, the 19th March Social Territorial Area, with the support of Mastercard, Sì Fermo Supermarket, with the partnership of the Provincial Photo Library Fermo and of the Mario Dondero Archive, with the patronage of the Sibillini National Park, then found, along the way, partners such as the Lavoroperlapersona Foundation and the Ghergo Award in support of training internships.
