Outside the concert, Fei Yuqing also used dog food instead of flower baskets to donate to charity, congratulating Li Zongsheng for his “every year of singing”.
That night, Li Zongsheng said at the beginning of the concert: “I almost cried as soon as the VCR was broadcast. The last time I sang to everyone here was 6 years ago. A lot of things can happen in 6 years. I hope that the next time will not be another 6 years. It’s 70 years old.”
Li Zongsheng told the audience that this night’s concert was as comfortable as meeting and chatting with old friends, and shared with the audience the bits and pieces of his first career.
In the concert, he reinterpreted the representative golden songs from 1989 to 2000, from “Awakening from Dream”, “I am a Little Bird”, “Love Like Tide”, “Cloudy Sky”, ” Songs such as “Every Day in My Life” and “How Do I Say Love”, the first songs evoked memories, and many audiences sang along with them.
This time in Taipei, he specially selected and sang “Youth Hand Scroll” written by him and composed by Tong Ange. The lyrics were the inspiration he got when he went to a Japanese restaurant to order hand scrolls.
Speaking of the cooperation with Tong Ange, he said: “In fact, I have a lot of songwriting heroes in my heart. Appeared in my mind.”
Throughout the concert, Li Zongsheng interpreted nearly 30 epoch-making masterpieces. Li Jianqing served as the guitarist, violinist and chorus throughout the entire concert. Li Jianqing also appeared on the stage to sing “Ordinary Stories” and “Out of Town”, becoming the concert’s surprise.
