March 8 and beyond: the mountain is tinged with pink

by admin

Designed by women for women: these are activities and proposals reserved for the female universe that in the mountains are increasingly becoming the order of the day. Proof of this is the latest campaign by Switzerland Tourism which is launched on Women’s Day, March 8: it is called 100% Women and aims to network and create the opportunity to live new outdoor experiences . In particular, the “100% Women Peak Challenge” is a challenge to bring the most sporty on all 48 four-thousanders of Switzerland: in practice, women are invited to climb, from 8 March to 8 September 2021, the highest peaks of the territory, in all female formations and with the collaboration of the Swiss Alpine Club, alpine guides and great mountaineers.
But there are not only the peaks: on the website of Switzerland Tourism (MySwitzerland.com/women) you can choose from over 230 events for women, many of them to be practiced outdoors and linked to the world of the mountains, to be carried out in groups of women only.
From the Swiss peaks to our Alps: in the wild and uncontaminated Valpelline, in the Aosta Valley, the initiatives are no less. In fact, the “Being a Woman Project” was born, proposing tailor-made packages for ladies and girls for a holiday dedicated to relaxation and physical activity: ranging from trekking to sensory paths, from yoga exercises to meditation. All activities aimed at psycho-physical well-being to be carried out in the midst of nature and conducted exclusively by women. The packages are different and include proposals for a day, a weekend or a week.

Aimed at the female universe there are also many initiatives in Valtellina: on the occasion of March 8 the Lombard mountains propose to celebrate by giving vouchers to be exploited as soon as the health emergency allows it. You can choose between excursions with dog sleds to the Husky Village of Arnoga, in Alta Valtellina, and an exciting flight over the peaks thanks to a special harness and a trolley that connects Albaredo to San Marco and Bema, in the lower Valtellina ; the “Fly Emotion” voucher is valid for one year and can be used both individually and in pairs. Or you can also treat yourself to a trip aboard the Bernina red train that starts from Tirano and climbs through spectacular scenery up to St. Moritz or a relaxing day at the spa taking advantage of all the possibilities of the Bagni Nuovi di Bormio.
