Historical names like Crossbow. And then brands that express the traditional tailoring of the maison of Central-Southern Italy. And, again, young designers making their debut on a catwalk, like Antonia Nicodemo. With three groups of fashion shows, dedicated to cocktail and evening dresses, in Vietri sul Mare, the Ifta Evening Show starts on 19 July, the three days of women’s fashion dedicated to companies in the sector of the southern regions.

An event organized by Ifta, with the support of the Campania region, in which 33 companies from the fashion and jewelry sectors participate, in collaboration with Cna Federmoda. And that, thanks to the contribution of Ice, the Institute for Foreign Trade, is aimed primarily at foreign buyers, with 23 international delegations from Saudi Arabia, Belgium, France, Germany, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Slovenia.

The appointment has become one of the main reference points for fashion houses that want to consolidate their presence abroad. And this year it was also open to young designers who for the first time present their collection and to creators from Northern Italy, from Milanese Bianca Gervasio to the Turin brand Sel.Dì, which has made street-art the style of its latest creations.

Chiffon dresses, fluffy silks, rustling and luminous caftans, sculpture dresses, precious loom fabrics: the preciousness of the collections that will be presented is the common thread that binds the proposals of the maison. It starts with the Chiringuito Wear, on the catwalk set up at Molo Marcina, the new dock in Vietri, a selection of 110 outfits that identify and code an increasingly widespread occasion of use: an aperitif on the beach, a dinner by the pool or on a boat. Together with inspiration, experimentation and innovation are the second leitmotif of the three days, which continues with Intimate Fashion Show: B2B meetings with buyers followed by eleven fashion shows, conceived with the classic atelier format. It all ends on the evening of 21 July with the presentation of the 12 finalists of the Ifta Awards 2022, engaged in the creation of three outfits each, inspired by the Cocktail and Evening Rebirth theme, with great attention to the eco-sustainability of the creations.

The novelty of this year is the new section dedicated to the goldsmith tradition of Campania, in the sixteenth-century council chamber of the Municipality of Vietri sul Mare, set up with the proposals of eleven companies specialized above all in the production of cameos and corals, excellence of a sector that in Campania can count on 2,500 companies for a total of 15,000 employees.
