Ricky Martin’s twins are already teenagers: the singer says how he gets along with them
Ricky Martin seems to be navigating the teenage years with his twins, Matteo and Valentino, with ease. The singer, who welcomed the twins in 2008 through a surrogacy process, recently shared how he is handling their adolescence.
In an interview with ‘Despierta América’ on March 13, Martin revealed that he has a close relationship with his sons, who are nearing 16 years old. “It’s wonderful, they don’t want to leave, they are with me at all times. I go on tour and they come with me because we have tutors who also travel with us. After the pandemic, Zoom relieves a lot,” he shared.
The 55-year-old singer emphasized the importance of honesty and transparency in his relationship with his sons. “I like that we are so united and that they ask all the questions they have to ask, that the answers are transparent and truthful,” he said.
Martin also expressed his gratitude for having the energy and health to raise not only Matteo and Valentino but also his younger children, Lucía and Renn, aged 5 and 4 respectively. When asked about the twins’ relationship with their younger siblings, Martin proudly stated that they love and support them.
In addition to his family life, Martin also shared his secret to staying youthful. “My conscience is clean, pure, I don’t do anything to anyone, I’m not drinking alcohol, I don’t smoke and I don’t use drugs and I had a good time,” he revealed.
As Martin continues to juggle his successful career with his role as a father, it is clear that his dedication to his children and his commitment to living a healthy lifestyle are key factors in maintaining balance and happiness in his life.
