The Lead Singer of Taiwanese Band Faces Legal Troubles
It seems like the drama never ends for the former lead singer of the Taiwanese band F.1.R. Feier Band, Zhan Wenting, also known as Faye. According to Taiwanese media reports, the band disbanded in 2018, and since then, things have only gotten messier for Zhan Wenting.
In 2019, Zhan Wenting sued Chen Jianning, the band leader, for allegedly forging her signature to sign a contract with Huayan Company. Chen Huo, another member of the band, chose not to sue, but Zhan Wenting found herself in hot water when she was sued for making false accusations against Chen Jianning. Zhan’s daughter even pleaded not guilty in court on behalf of her mother, insisting that they did not make a false accusation.
Fast forward to June 13, 2023, when Taiwanese media reported that Zhan Wenting accused Chen Jianning and others of forging documents related to their old club, Huayan International. Chen Jianning, in turn, accused Zhan Wenting of making false accusations and damaging her reputation. After an initial investigation by the Beijing Procuratorate, both parties were not prosecuted. However, the case was sent back for further investigation, and this time, the prosecutor determined that Zhan Wenting had lied. As a result, she now faces charges of false accusations, while Chen Jianning and others have been cleared of any wrongdoing.
The legal troubles seem far from over for Zhan Wenting, as the Taipei District Court held another hearing today. Surrounded by people, Zhan Wenting appeared in court but did not respond to media inquiries. It remains to be seen how this saga will unfold for the once-beloved lead singer of F.1.R. Feier Band.
