We must provide services and work to attract visitors, and continue to do so together. The truffle drives all the excellences of the territory ».
For Liliana Allena, president of the Alba Truffle Fair Authority, «The truffle plays as a team with other excellences»: «And with Asti we started playing as a team three years ago, bringing the truffle here, in what we lack: the historic buildings. This joint promotion offers new opportunities, at a time when our territory is increasingly the object of growing attention at an international level “. In his speech also attention to the consumer: «For 15 years we have guaranteed safety: the quality of the truffles is certified by the judges before sale». After the interventions, moderated by the journalist Fulvio Lavina, the previews of the program on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 November: a two-day event with the title «Asti palazzi del gusto. The thousand scents of Monferrato ». It will be an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of the Piedmontese autumn products of excellence through cooking shows, sensory analyzes and wine tastings, with purchase opportunities at the exhibition market and at the Fair.
At Palazzo Alfieri, the award ceremony of the best dish and the best single truffle will have Cristiano Militello, comedian and correspondent of Striscia as a guest.
At Palazzo Ottolenghi, the space dedicated to sensory analysis of the National Center for Truffle Studies and tastings to discover Barbera and Moscato d’Asti, but also the nuances of Monferrato and Asti bubbles. In via Bonzanigo, in the headquarters of the military brotherhood in leave, tastings and cooking lessons with the chefs Gabriele Boffa – Locanda Sant’Uffizio Enrico Bartolini, Diego Bongiovanni, Marco Molano (I due buoi), Andrea Larossa (Larossa restaurant).
