Xi’an premiere of drama “The Marriage of Figaro”

Xi’an News Network News “Even if we grow old, I will hold your hand and keep walking…” Recently, the first domestic drama version of “The Marriage of Figaro” was successfully premiered at the Dahua 1935 Theater in Xi’an.
“It would be great if I left this world before you, so that I won’t suffer because I miss you too much…” In Figaro’s hearty encounters and romances, the audience is brought into a century-long journey A touching love story, Figaro launched an ironic, happy and twisted “love defense” for marrying Suzanne as his wife and the greedy and hegemonic count.
The whole play is based on the theme of “love”. It tells about people of different classes and different fates who experience different love tests. The plot is vivid and the characters are intricately connected. Endowed with soul-like thinking and torture.
With de-differentiated artistic techniques and forms of expression, the director integrates European classical philosophies with Chinese contemporary thoughts, and draws on elements such as “hypothetical”, “time-space jumping” and “symbolic freehand” in Chinese opera to more appropriately create “foreign”. The local drama of “The Chinese Taste of Drama” reflects the positive outlook of the new era and the correct outlook on love and marriage.
In terms of stage presentation, “symbolic freehand brushwork” and “space-time jumping” are the highlights of the play. Lu Ning, associate professor of the Department of Stage Design of the Central Academy of Drama, is the stage designer of the play. From the stage setting to the use of large and small props, minimalist techniques are used. In addition, all the sets produce different stage time and space through the change of position, direction and built-in organs, which provides a great performance space for the director and actors to create, and also brings the audience a visual experience with rich imagination.
At the performance site, the wonderful and unique expression techniques and the vivid and vivid characters are deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. The entire performance was intertwined with laughter and applause, and the lighthearted and cheerful dialogues and stage events were thought-provoking in a distinct comedy style.
The Marriage of Figaro was completed in 1786 and is based on the comedy of the same name by the French dramatist Beaumarchais.
The drama version of “The Marriage of Figaro” is produced by Shaanxi Experimental Theater and directed by national first-class director Tong Bin.
It is reported that the play will be further polished and improved after completing the last two performances of this round at the Dahua 1935 Theater in Xi’an on July 8 and 9, and strive to win a good reputation in the national tour.
