A CONFERENCE IN CONA ON PDTA OF THE PATIENT WITH INTERSTITIOUS LUNG DISEASE

Is called “The diagnostic therapeutic care path of the patient with primary interstitial lung disease or secondary to rheumatic disease” the meeting that will take place Friday 19 April (from 1.00 pm to 7.00 pm) in Room C2 of the new Teaching Center of the Cona Hospital.

They will be addressed during the meeting different topics with particular attention to the diagnostic phases and the management of patients with interstitial lung disease as part of intra- and inter-company diagnostic-therapeutic care pathways (PDTA).

Interstitial lung involvement is a disease capable of progressively alterif not promptly recognized and adequately treated, normal lung function. Among the numerous conditions associated with this problem, in addition to the primitive forms (such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis), the contextual diagnosis of an autoimmune disease of rheumatological interest which represents approximately 20% of cases. There timeliness and correctness of the diagnosis become fundamental elements in the path of these patients, increasingly requiring the need for a multidisciplinary team that includes the pathologist, the radiologist, the rheumatologist and the pulmonologist.

From this perspective the objective of the event is to focus on the need to recognize the pathology as early as possible thanks to the interaction between different professionals, in the context of a dedicated diagnostic therapeutic assistance path (PDTA), capable of integrating the territory and the hospital reference center, in order to facilitate taking charge and improve the patient’s path.
