22/02/2024 – New donation of the association “The Friends of the Heart” odv at the House of the Community of San Secondo of the Local Health Authority.
Thanks to various initiatives organized in the last two years by the Association in the lower Parma area and to the great generosity of volunteers and many citizens, it was possible to purchase an echocardiographer, an electrocardiograph e four cardiac holtersfor a total value of around 40 thousand euros.

The new equipment is intended to renew and partly strengthen the instrumental equipment already supplied.

These equipment are both destined for the Cardiology clinic of the San Secondo Community House: the echocardiograph replaces the device already in use – also donated by the “Gli Amici del Cuore” Association a few years ago – while the four cardiac holters are added to the four already in use.
Finally, the new electrocardiograph It is intended for newborns Cardiology clinic in Sissa-Trecasaliwhere the San Secondo team is engaged on a monthly basis to carry out cardiological visits and tests.

The Cardiology team
It is made up of cardiologists Paolo Pattoneri, Antonio Rizzo e Stefano Cantonitogether with the nurses Marisa Arlotti e Carla Pagliari.
Active within the Community House of San Secondo, it provides a service for users in the lower Parma area, offering first-level cardiological specialist visits, instrumental tests such as echocardiography, dynamic electrocardiography, home blood pressure monitoring and provocative tests such as stress and echostress tests . Furthermore, it has been active for years the clinic for the management of heart failurewhich follows approximately 150 people.
The Association “Gli Amici del Cuore” odv
Active in San Secondo for over 30 years, it lends itself to supporting Cardiology and the Community House of San Secondo, helping the AUSL in the many needs and requirements that clinical assistance and the evolution of technology require. The Association is now present in the area with initiatives, events, health promotion and fundraisers, which support public health, fulfilling its objectives defined in the articles of association. Over the years, there have been numerous donations to the San Secondo community hospital, to the physiotherapy service and to the cardiology clinic.
