A large wooden structure from which ropes, ladders, nets hang, to recall many lianas. It is no coincidence that it is called the Jungle gym. The first in southern Italy will be inaugurated in Conversano, near Bari, on Sunday 19 September (with an open day): it is part of “Origin outdoor experience”, a sports park created by a group of trainers and fitness enthusiasts.

The park – born from the project of the startup Origin wellness starter – of 450 square meters consists of a fitness area that replicates the experience of a traditional indoor gym and a structure designed for the “Jungle up” discipline, in which “everyone he is constantly put to the test and learns to make the most of his skills and body “, explain from the sports park.

There is much more, however, than just fun and training. The characteristic area, between via Lenti and via Manuzzi, will host social building activities in which local realities that deal with physical and mental disabilities, but also communities for minors, social cooperatives that manage situations of dependence and elderly centers will collaborate. It will also be possible to strengthen parent-child relationships and make students and teachers live the experience in paths that contrast the different forms of violence and discrimination.

“Jungle does not want to be a regression, but a primitive progression – explains Mattia Ferri, CEO of Jungle up and creator of the discipline in Italy – Contemporary man needs to go back to looking at the world from above because he observes society by detaching himself from the ground. it can allow us to understand how to live better “.
