In the Pijnven nature reserve in Flanders, Belgium, a fascinating piece of engineering allows you to cycle among the treetops. “Cycling Through The Trees” is a cycle path created by the architectural firm Gregorio & Partners in collaboration with BuroLandschap. It is a double circle that gradually rises to a height of 10 meters. “The most important thing for us was to build a structure with the least possible impact on the environment. Cycling through the trees would not have made sense if the trees had been damaged, ”explained Pieter Daenen, founder of BuroLandschap, in Dezeen.
