Adel Tawil and FRIENDS cook for a good cause: ZNS – Hannelore Kohl Foundation

Frankfurt am Main, February 8th 2024 – On Saturday, April 20th, 2024, the time has finally come! The legendary FRIENDS kitchen party is entering its fourth round and this time it is taking place at the Best Western Premier IB Hotel Friedberger Warte.
The FRIENDS, a group of renowned top-star chefs such as Johann Lafer, Tristan Brandt, Christoph Brand, Gerd Eis, Juan Danilo, Marcel Speidel, Matthias Striffler and others, have agreed to use their culinary skills for a good cause. Under the patronage of musician and ZNS President Adel Tawil, the FRIENDS will create an exclusive dinner to collect donations for the valuable work of the ZNS – Hannelore Kohl Foundation. On the initiative of LEROY”S Celebrate like a king, the ZNS cooking club was founded for people with traumatic brain injury.

Star and television chefs, wineries and partners from the gourmet scene will look after the well-being of the guests at numerous stands this evening. The event is professionally moderated by presenter Seppl Pauli, Radio Frankfurt, and presenter Jane Uhlig. J. Sanders & Friends provide musical support. A highlight is the raffle with attractive prizes.
“Many of those affected by traumatic brain injury have hemiplegia and have lost their sense of taste and smell. The organization of the ZNS cooking club to bring these people closer to healthy cooking with just one hand is a matter close to our hearts. We would like to convey to those affected the fun of healthy food, various tools in the kitchen and the courage to cook among like-minded people. The laughter and enthusiasm of those affected always motivates us to continue to support the ZNS cooking club through donations and our personal commitment,” said the initiators Petra and Jörg Leroy from LEROY’S. The proceeds from the event will benefit this CNS cooking club for people with traumatic brain injury. The ZNS cooking club was launched in 2017 on the initiative of LEROY’S Feste – Celebrate Like a King – and teaches participants about healthy cooking and eating, shopping for goods, the composition of food and cooking over a whole weekend free of charge Aids, for example for paralysis on one side.
Under the motto “We welcome you to the kitchen this evening”, the hotel is opening its doors for the first time for a unique culinary event. Top-class chefs, winemakers, restaurateurs and connoisseurs will offer their services at various culinary stands. Former participants of the ZNS cooking club will also be there and look after the well-being of the guests.
The collaboration between professional chefs and cooking enthusiasts promises an extraordinary experience for all guests.
The Best Western Premier IB Hotel Friedberger Warte looks forward to welcoming guests from near and far to this special event.
Tickets for the FRIENDS kitchen party are available at a price of EUR 85 per person. In addition, a donation of EUR 100 or more is requested to the ZNS – Hannelore Kohl Foundation to support the foundation’s valuable work. Those interested can purchase their tickets online via the foundation’s website and also book an overnight stay in a hotel at special rates.

Every year around 270,000 people in Germany experience a traumatic brain injury. 45,000 of them have to live with permanent physical and cognitive impairments after the accident. Around 800,000 people are permanently dependent on the support of carers or relatives. The aim of the ZNS Foundation is to improve the quality of life of these people and enable them to participate fully. Through education and preventive measures, the foundation helps to reduce the number of accidents and the severity of head injuries.
