by admin

In Veneto, as part of the activity of general practitioners, the flu vaccination in Veneto it will begin on Tuesday 2 November, using 1 million 688 thousand doses purchased in view of the vaccination campaign.

Their activity will be addressed, as always, to patients who are entitled to it by age or pathology. This vaccine can be combined with the third dose of the one against Covid (it will be Pfizer, according to national indications), to be provided to the Over 60s and to any patients who present particular risk conditions, after six months from the vaccination we will then work to intercept all those subjects who have not yet adhered to the vaccination against Covid, perhaps out of uncertainty or perplexity. The Region will also try to support and propose pneumococcal vaccination, to create the greatest possible barrier to safeguard people’s health in the winter period, the one most at risk for many respiratory diseases. The picture emerged at the end of a meeting between the regional councilor for health, Manuela Lanzarote, and the representative organizations of general practitioners.

“We have done a fruitful job in a climate of loyal collaboration – comments the commissioner – and we have agreed on a common strategy that aims decisively at the widest protection of people who want to join the vaccination. I thank the general practitioners who, each working with their clients, will make an irreplaceable contribution to safeguarding health, as has been the case up to now ». Lanzarin concludes by specifying that: “Precise operational indications will be given to the Ullss with the aim of putting general practitioners in the best conditions to provide services to patients”.
