All sports in nine areas between squares and gardens: here are the events scheduled from Friday to October 7th

Genoa – Parkour, basketball, mountain biking, tennis and sports adapted for people with disabilities these are some of the disciplines that from Friday to October 7 will animate nine places in the historic center, between squares and gardens, for the “Caruggi @ Sport”.

“The event will be an opportunity and a moment of social growth for the community – says the councilor for the Historic Center, Paola Bordilli – which aims to give vitality to the historic center making our squares and gardens live in a positive way in a different way than usual ».

«Our city is increasingly projected towards 2024 – says the managing director for the organizational aspects of Genoa 2024 Capital of Sport, Vittorio Ottonello – and events like this are fundamental to drive and bring young and old to sports and physical activity, with space also for Paralympic disciplines. Events for everyone, in short, with the bonus of the frame of our historic center ».

«I am very happy to be able to host this event right in the streets, squares and gardens of the historic center – says the president of the Centro Est Municipality, Andrea Carratù -. I am sure that this event will attract many people, both curious and passionate of the various disciplines that can be tried and discovered ».

“Caruggi @ Sport” represents one of the events that will drive Genoa 2024 Capital of Sport and sees the collaboration of Aics, Csi, Uisp, Sisport, Pgs, Cus, Fiba and Endas and about thirty associations.

Many sports and disciplines that can be discovered: tennis, volleyball, basketball, mountain biking, archery, contemporary dance, postural gymnastics, wing chun, karate, hockey, golf, rugby, fitness, wellness, parkour and badmington.

Football activities will be coordinated with schools and there will also be demonstrations of orienteering, country dance and circus activities.

Specifically, the affected areas of the city will be: piazza delle Marinelle, piazza Cernaia, piazza di Sarzano, Giardini Luzzati, piazza del Campo, piazza Durazzo, piazza Don Gallo, piazza Postavecchia and the Baltimore Gardens.

All activities will take place in two time slots: the morning one from 10 to 12.30 and the afternoon one from 16.45 to 19.15.
