Google’s Pixel 6 and 6 Pro are two great phones, but as long as they’re phones, they’re bound to have a few glitches. Google’s April update has arrived (rarely on time), bringing fixes and updates including charging, camera, and security.
This includes the front camera looking enlarged in certain apps, and sometimes a “green screen” in related previews, plus updates such as wireless charging speeds for certain accessories, believed to be compatible with the Qi wireless charging standard related.
The UI update is available on all Pixel 3a and above models, including PIP mode that will cause crashes under certain conditions, certain dynamic wallpapers will generate error messages, and some wrong animation displays. Security updates were also included in the update, primarily a high-security vulnerability in a framework component that resulted in a local privilege escalation without additional execution permissions or user interaction.
The April update will be rolled out gradually over the next week depending on the device and carrier.
