Everyone sleeps badly sometimes. This is completely normal and mostly harmless. In the long run, however, poor sleep reduces the quality of life ā€“ and good sleep increases it. For almost every person, there are a few simple things he or she can do to sleep better. Itā€™s worth it because sleep promotes emotional balance, memory and cognitive performance. It regenerates the musculoskeletal system, the heart and the immune system. Sleep is not time lost.

One caveat to these tips: If you have a sleep disorder, such as chronic insomnia or sleep apnea, please talk to your doctor first.
