In the heart of Florence stands the statue of Aloy, heroine of Horizon Forbidden West

Sony Interactive Entertainment Italia greeted the release of the Horizon Forbidden West videogame (for Playstation 5 and 4) with a temporary installation that will enrich Piazza Madonna della Neve in the Complesso delle Murate, in Florence, from 17 to 27 February next. The large statue has the appearance of the protagonist of the video game, Aloy, and Sony intends to “celebrate the value of diversity understood as uniqueness and as an extraordinary expression of the individual”.

“The story of Aloy tells us about the ability, on the part of the videogame industry, to transport universal stories and themes into the dimension of the videogame, putting the player at the center, and allowing him to live and play deep and articulated stories” says Marco Saletta, General Sony Interactive Entertainment Italia Manager.

The Councilor for economic activities of Florence, Federico Gianassi, underlined the importance of the initiative of SIE Italia, “which through the protagonist of a video game puts the accent – he said – on the value of diversity”.
