TRENTO. At least 40,000 workers from Trentino have not been vaccinated. And that, therefore, to have the green pass and be able to enter the workplace they will have to present a negative swab every 48 hours. Or they will have to accept the suspension and stay “on vacation”, without receiving a salary, at least until next December 31st.
There are only two days left and the obligation to green pass in workplaces, public and private, will be a reality. For those who have been vaccinated, the introduction of the rule will not change anything, while for the others the date of Friday 15 October will kick off an important change. As mentioned, the news will affect at least 40 thousand people. Certain and precise data does not exist, but the estimate is real. There are 39,484 people from Trentino between the ages of 20 and 59 who do not even have a dose of the vaccine.
To these are added another 25 thousand (26,197 to be precise, according to the data of the ministry) who are waiting for a second dose: people who, therefore, the green pass from here to a few days or weeks will have it and will “get away with it. “with some tampons from Friday onwards. This is why we do not count them among the no vaxes. So let’s go back to 39,484: they are people of working age – from 20 to 59 years old, it being understood that there are twenty-year-olds who are studying as well as over sixty-year-olds who still work – who have not joined the vaccination campaign.
To go to the office, to the factory, to the construction site, from Friday they will have to present a negative swab. Considering that the test is valid for 48 hours, the 40 thousand can be divided in half, considering that they will have to test themselves every other day. But are we able in Trentino to perform 20,000 quick swabs a day? The answer is simple: absolutely not. In September, the month of the all-time record of unsanitary in all nineteen months of the pandemic with just over 88,000, we were traveling at an average of 2,941 per day. In the first eleven days of October we are at an average of 2,812. In short, it is impossible to reach twenty thousand tests a day. “Those numbers are unattainable,” confirms the president of the order of pharmacists Tiziana Dal Lago.
For weeks already, pharmacists have been called to an enormous amount of extra work precisely to respond to the growing demands. “The number of pharmacies that offer the service has increased, we are evaluating to optimize the hours, as far as possible and human, and we are planning a meeting in the middle of this week. But now the cold season is also coming, with many more people coming to us for drugs, not just for tampons. “In short, with a further effort there is still a small margin for growth, but absolutely not enough to answer to the potential question. Then there are the private individuals, such as Sea which has opened a new tampon center in Scurelle (at Ecoopera, open only on Sunday evening from 4 to 7 pm, while the other days there will be an agreement with the Bailo pharmacy in Borgo Valsugana), which that of Riva del Garda (Palafiere) and has expanded the offer on Trento (Monday, Wednesday and Friday opening at 6 in the morning, Sunday from 16 to 18.30). – reopening the large structures in the area – double or triple the current numbers. But to do this you need staff and an organization and logistics that are not currently available.
Doctors and nurses remain focused on the vaccination campaign and, of course, on the activity in hospitals and clinics. The solution to avoid problems would be to increase the number of vaccinated: in the last ten days there has been a further green pass effect, with 6,585 first doses. But that’s still not enough.
