In Italy there are 183 centers registered that conduct clinical research in oncology. Italian scientific production is at the forefront in many areas and the Schools have received numerous awards. The studies conducted in our country, in fact, have changed clinical practice at a national and international level in different types of tumors, leading to the modification of guidelines and recommendations. On 12 and 13 April, in Rome, the second edition of the “ASCO-AIOM Clinical Research Course” was held, organized by the Italian Association of Medical Oncology (AIOM) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO, American Society of Clinical Oncology), to establish a research bridge between the two countries.
