The psychologist bonus will reach 600 euros per year and could concern about 18,000 people: it will be parameterized on the basis of the ISEE, with the maximum ceiling set at 50,000 euros, aiming at favoring the lowest incomes. The amendment, first signed by the deputy Pd Filippo Sensi, was approved as an amendment to the dl milleproroghe after a long pressing. In all, an additional 20 million are allocated in 2022, of which half to finance the bonus and the other half for the recruitment of professionals to combat mental distress related to the consequences of Covid.

To underline the growing psychological distress are the data collected by the National Council of the Order of Psychologists: in recent years as many as eight out of ten people have developed problems of structured psychological malaise and two out of ten mental disorders in the strict sense and more severe.
“The ‘psychologist bonus’ is an important result from a social point of view because it turns out how important it is to fight psychological distress. Ten million euros to be allocated to individuals is not a lot, but it is a first step”, explains the president of the Order of Psychologists, David Lazzari, among the first to launch the appeal on the need to guarantee psychological support to everyone and not just to those who can afford private sessions.
