SMaL, new podium but uncertainty weighs on the gym

Local Gymnastics Team Achieves Success Despite Training Obstacles

It’s a bittersweet time for SMaL artistic gymnastics as the team, led by Daniel Zanello, Davide Lucidi, Lorenzo Facchini, Luca Grossutti, Gioele Franchi, and Lorenzo Giudici, has once again qualified first in the Serie C artistic gymnastics championships. Supported by their teammates and guided by dedicated technicians, the team showed exceptional talent and determination in the recent competition held in Fermo.

Despite their impressive achievements, the team faces challenges due to inadequate training facilities. The SMaL has been waiting for the construction of a new gym for many years, with progress seemingly stalled after an initial promising start. The delay in the project’s completion poses a significant risk to the team’s future success, especially as they prepare for the upcoming final test in Turin that will determine their promotion to the Serie B championships.

The president of SMaL, Paolo Lucidi, expressed his concerns about the implications of further delays on the team’s ability to train safely and effectively. With the possibility of a new stability pact looming, the future of the team’s training facility remains uncertain unless immediate action is taken by the municipal administration.

As the team gears up for a crucial test in April, the stakes are high for SMaL. The decision on whether or not to proceed with the construction of the new gym will have a significant impact on the team’s future prospects. Despite the challenges they face, the SMaL gymnastics team remains determined to overcome obstacles and continue their journey towards success.
