Content Creator Rachel Finley shares her experience with heart problems due to excessive coffee consumption.

In today’s fast-paced world, it is not uncommon for many to neglect their health in order to keep up with work and other commitments. Content creator and beauty influencer Rachel Finley shared her personal experience of how her love for coffee led to a serious heart problem at just 21 years old.

Rachel admitted that she started drinking espresso in high school to feel “cooler” but it escalated when she started working at a restaurant during college. Her coffee consumption increased to an alarming six to eight espressos per day. While she initially loved the way it made her feel, she soon started experiencing severe palpitations that kept her up at night. She mistakenly attributed them to stress and even took caffeine pills to combat her fatigue, which only worsened the issue.

It wasn’t until she visited a cardiologist that she realized the cause of her problems. She was diagnosed with arrhythmia, and the doctor instructed her to cut caffeine out of her life completely. While there is no direct scientific evidence linking caffeine intake to arrhythmia, there are studies suggesting that frequent coffee consumption may lead to long-term heart problems.

In a University of California study, it was found that each additional cup of coffee per day decreases the probability of developing irregular heart rhythms by 3%, while the DailyMail suggests that frequent coffee consumption may lead to issues with blood pressure, cholesterol, and other heart problems.
