A new blitz. A new squeeze. With the promise that this time will be the final one. The objective, once again, is to deliver the Superbonus and the discount on the invoice to the paper shredder of the economic measures of the past. And above all to secure the public accounts from a measure that the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti has defined as “thoughtless”. And which has “produced devastating effects for public finances”, with a cost of around 150 billion euros and the risk of new overruns. In yesterday’s council of ministers, Giorgetti presented a new decree on 110 percent “outside the bag”, as they say in the jargon. A measure kept secret to avoid a new rush to sell credit for construction sites, especially condominiums, which are fighting against time to complete the works. What does the new decree say? First of all, as Giorgetti explained, it provides for «the elimination of the remaining cases for which the exercise of the options for the so-called invoice discount or for the transfer of credit in place of deductions is still in force».
