Trento Local Hospital Director Claudia Vergot Officially Presented as a New Political Candidate
TRENTO – Claudia Vergot, the director of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Operating Unit at the Borgo Valsugana hospital, has been officially presented as a new candidate by the president and vice president of the Civic movement, Matthias Gottardi and Vanessa Masè, respectively. This announcement comes after last weekend’s assembly at the Interporto of Trento, where the center-right political force discussed the highlights of the next legislature under the slogan “Choose your land”.
During the assembly, three fundamental themes were highlighted by Gottardi, emphasizing the value of “know-how” in the political sphere. La Civica aims to bring together qualified professionals to serve in political administration. Autonomy, in terms of planning for the future while taking into account the next 20-30 years, was also emphasized. Additionally, the strategic position of Trentino, situated between Lombardy and Germany, was seen as an opportunity for further growth in various sectors.
President of the Province Maurizio Fugatti was also present at the assembly, showing his support for the movement and the new candidate.
48 hours prior to the convention, the Upper Valsugana section of La Civica announced Claudia Vergot as their candidate. Vergot, who has always been interested in public service, stated, “I have always had an interest in the public body, my profession has allowed me to work and enjoy leadership within multi-professional teams.” She highlighted her extensive experience in the field, including international cooperation, work in valley hospitals, intensive care at S. Chiara, and the management of a hospital operating unit.
Vergot’s primary focus is on healthcare. She aims to address various issues such as the local hospital, personnel, primary care, digitization, artificial intelligence, and the university. In addition, Vergot believes in supporting and implementing projects related to tourism, agriculture, the mountain, thermalism, and sustainability in the industrial field in Valsugana and Levico. She emphasizes the importance of creating employment and development at a local level, especially for young people, while preserving the well-being of the person in all aspects.
Politically, Vergot aligns herself with President Maurizio Fugatti and the La Civica movement, as they represent her thoughts as a Trentino citizen who strongly believes in the bond with the territory and its valorization. She sees passion and love for one’s land as important qualifications for carrying out a political project. Vergot hopes to represent the entire Valsugana community by demonstrating commitment, passion, transparency, and competence if elected.
