The Venezuelan naturalized Italian showgirl and actress, daughter of an Italian-Eritrean diplomat (Pasquale Marconi) was diagnosed with breast cancer and, after a few months, he decided to share his story with the many followers he has on social networks, also because it will soon be impossible to hide what he is going through.

Many remember her as one of the protagonists of the fourth edition of Big Brother. Before arriving at the reality show par excellence of Canale 5, Carolina Marconi already had a lot of experience behind her in the world of TV. Their story then ended the following year, but today Carolina is happily in love with her partner, one of the people she thanked publicly after making her story known.

On May 20, Carolina Marconi shared a photo of her beautiful smile, followed by a short video in which she just woke up in a hospital bed and another photo showing a scar on her breast. Along with the images, he shared a long post, divided into two parts, in which he told his whole story and in the following days he added the other stages of his ordeal:

  • on 24 March 2021 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and told to have an operation as soon as possible;
  • on April 6 she underwent an operation of about 8 hours, because in addition to removing the tumor she was also breast reconstructed;
  • on May 4th from the results ofhistological examination it emerged that chemotherapy is needed;
  • on June 3, the 41 cm Picc-Port cannula was inserted into her vein, which is used to perform chemotherapy;
  • on June 16 she underwent her first round of chemo.

Carolina did not hide that she had much fear in each of these steps, to be very worried about her future, especially for her plan to become a mother, but after the initial shock she found a way to react and probably telling everything on Instagram helped her because she immediately received many messages of solidarity.

Between the end of May and today, in fact, Carolina has started sharing images in which she almost always tries to smile, even in the photos taken in the hospital, while undergoing the chemo. She has also published a photo in which she is close to her favorite sea, that of Formia, taken before starting the therapy, because then until December, that is, until the treatment ends, she will no longer be able to sunbathe.

Carolina told so the day of his operation: “Well yes I sacrificed my breast to avoid the radio. I remember that day I was the first on the list to have an operation at 8 in the morning but I was not so happy ‘But why the first?’ I was wondering. ‘Can’t I be the second? What if some machinery crashes and the doctors are still sleepy? ‘ Okay, you can’t imagine how many things were whirling in my head … In the end they immediately put me at ease, a formidable team, I remember that before closing my eyes I was terrified by the thought ‘What if I don’t wake up anymore? Man what if my life ends like this? What bad luck ‘. So before falling asleep I took my mobile phone and wrote the word I love you and I sent it via WhatsApp to all the people I love ”.

The story of chemotherapy on social media –

Obviously for such a beautiful girl, used to taking care of her image even for work, there concern about the effects of chemotherapy it cannot be avoided and Carolina Marconi told of hers fear of losing hair and already a few days before chemo he began to shorten them: “I have always wore them long, I have always loved my straight and black hair and I would never have imagined one day having to cut them so short … soon I will be completely without anything like a nut coconut. All this will pass, the hair will grow, the important thing is health, that’s what I hear every day, but those who are doing the same path as I know it is devastating (even if I have a smile and I try to be positive), that it has been very difficult and it will be even more difficult in recent months but I will never stop being happy and enthusiastic like a child in my life, anyway looking good I don’t feel so bad, I like myself … of course now I will have to see how I will be from shaved “.

Her friend Samantha De Grenet he promptly replied trying to cheer her up: “My sweet darling you are a warrior and your smile is the most powerful weapon that exists… You will overcome everything quickly and you will come back stronger than before. After the first course of chemotherapy Carolina Marconi confessed that she cried a little under the mask, but then the nurses immediately put her at ease, made her listen to the music and she felt better. Her passion for cooking in this period is also helping her.
