The humanoid robot that amazed social media for its expressions and fluidity of movements

by admin

“Artificial intelligence, which intends to replicate human intelligence, needs a body that is as similar as possible to that of a human being.” This is the premise that led to the creation of Ameca, a humanoid that stunned social media users for the gestures and above all the expressions so similar to those of a man in flesh and blood.

Ameca is a creation of Engineered Arts, an English company founded in 2006 that specializes in the production of humanoid robots intended mainly for science museums and amusement parks. Ameca’s movements and expressions, as well as the speed of their execution, are surprising for a humanoid robot. However, it should be remembered that these movements could be the result of planning. In short, the humanoid robot would do nothing but carry out an operation and in this case there would be very little artificial intelligence. On YouTube, this short video was viewed almost a million times in three days.
