The journalist of the Russian propaganda TV who believed the Italian trolls on Twitter

Margarita Simonyan, chief editor of RT, a television channel funded by the Russian government, shared the tweet from an Italian user who supports the elusive #UnCarroArmatoPerPutin campaign, inviting pro-Putin users to consume gas to support Russia. In reality, the tweet was created by a troll who is part of the ‘bricklayers’, a group of users marked with a brick icon next to their name.
