Jim Lanzone, a veteran of the tech industry, will be the new CEO of Yahoo, starting September 27, 2021. Lanzone, technology and media executive, in the field of innovation, will succeed Guru Gowrappan, who has been appointed Senior Advisor of Apollo’s private equity. Chief Digital Officer of Tinder, Lanzone previously led CBS Corporation’s digital operations as Chief Digital Officer and Chief Executive Officer. At CBS Interactive, from 2011 to 2019, he oversaw the company’s 30+ digital media brands and led the development of the group’s first major streaming services, including CBS All Access.
