“They do not command but they direct. The password is integration”

The management of the Ausl Romagna presented the six new directors of complex structures to guarantee citizens guides with proven experience and professionalism, capable of operating under the banner of integration and relationships. And it is precisely on these two concepts that the doctor insisted a lot Tiziano Carradori, general manager of the Ausl Romagna. “Professionals will be called upon to operate along some trajectories that I consider essential – explained Carradori – and which are the integration, both organizational and professional, of sectoral disciplines that are recomposed around people to treat them at 360 degrees, but also of integration between structures and territory What is a hospital if it does not dialogue and has no contact with the principals of its territory, both accredited private individuals and otherwise? And the other trajectory that the new directors must follow is the relationship. The directors of a complex structure do not command but direct. They must give space to others, but indicating a line. by now it is widely recognized that relationships are fundamental in every sector, even more so in supporting services like these “.

Since July 2020, the date on which Tiziano Carradori was appointed director of the Ausl Romagna, as many as 15 complex structures have found a guide. In fact, in 2020 there were 65 complex structures with vacant management (for retirements or other), now there are about fifty. However, the problem relating to the shortage of medical personnel remains open, a shortage that is felt above all in a service such as the Emergency Department, but as Carradori specified, the problem has not become known with and for the pandemic, it had already emerged years earlier. .
