Work with mobile cranes at the gym, closing order for the Padre Pio school

For the construction of the new gymnasium, from tomorrow until October 16 the state middle school “Padre Pio” will be closed due to an order of the mayor Rosa Melodia and the public works manager Biagio Maiullari. Educational activities will resume on Monday 18 October.

The construction site for the construction of the new gym foresees the assembly of the roof, consisting in particular of metal reticular beams and about 40 meters long. This process involves the use of mobile cranes with a capacity of 100 tons with a useful outreach of 30-35 meters for lifting and positioning the metal trusses.

The closure is a precautionary measure. In fact, the safety coordination has recognized that the works could lead to a situation of potential danger for the safety of school users. For this the ordinance was issued.
