The intensive training for applicants to the Lince Group ends at the end of March and the incorporation of the graduates will be immediate. In addition, 5,000 new police officers will be received in December. There is a plan to increase the annual amount.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Security, Óscar Pereira, gave some numerical projections of the plan to increase the number of police officers and reach the recommended figure per population worldwide.
In the very short term, the graduation of 600 agents from Grupo Lince is announced, who will take to the streets to carry out preventive tours and patrols, after three months of intensive training.
All of them will have 0 km motorcycles to carry out the work that will be entrusted to them in different areas.
He also announced that the annual quota of graduates of the National Police will be increased. At the end of the year there will be 5,000 new graduates and the idea is to enable this figure annually for a period of four years.
However, this will imply a budget increase to cover the salaries of the new police officers. However, if completed, it will allow us to reach 50,000 police officers, out of the 29,000 currently available.
To this we must add that a significant percentage is destined for administrative work, for which reengineering is already being carried out, sending more uniformed personnel to the streets and starting in Alto Paraná, with the plan to strengthen security.
