Heavy rain caused several fire brigade operations in Carinthia on Thursday night. Flooding occurred particularly in the districts of Völkermarkt and Klagenfurt-Land. But also in Brückl (district St. Veit) the sirens howled, there were several operations. Due to the heavy rain, a landslide occurred around 1 a.m. at the Lessiak inn in Klein St. Veit. The Brückl volunteer fire brigade also helped to free a two-story building and the Sorger sawmill from the water with their residual vacuum cleaners, they said on their Facebook page. The volunteer fire brigades Klein St.Veit and Gattersdorf were still in action.
