July is usually one of the busiest months in terms of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest, but this year deforestation fell by as much as 66 percent compared to the same month last year. However, not in all areas you can bring such good news. Deforestation increased significantly in the wet savannas of southeastern Brazil.
