Committed to the “front” of Poland in lending a hand for aid for the Ukrainian population, Anna Kim, 19 from Conegliano, chose to skip several lessons (in the evening of the Fanno institute), but she was always present for questions and checks.

The second day of the war she did not hesitate to suffer with her boyfriend and a cousin and they went as far as Shehyni / Medyka on the South East border between Poland and Ukraine to rescue the children (a cousin and her brother). After two days Anna, in Italy since 2009, returned and made her generosity available to give a concrete hand to the other refugees fleeing the war. And to make her contribution, she chose to dedicate the hours of attendance at school to Ukrainians as well.

And in many, in the evening class of the technical institute, they supported it. To involve them Anna who told the war stories directly on the “field”.

“During the first weeks of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, I gave a halt to school and working life because, together with other compatriots, we have organized shipments of trucks with basic necessitiesand personally I took care of helping war refugees to find a home or to do the documents for the period of stay in Italy – says the young woman – moreover, during this period, the evening course organized a small collection of food to support me “.

A girl particularly gifted for technical subjects that after attending the Marconi high school for three years, he decided not to continue his studies and start working (in various bars). “During Covid, however, I had the opportunity to do a reflection on my future and my goals, so I decided to go back to study and get my diploma – he continues – the evening of the Marco Fanno technical institute seemed to me the best option to be able to study and not lose my working autonomy. In this experience I discovered how much, instead, the evening course is an opportunity to test yourself and prove to yourself that nothing is impossible, you just need determination and patience “.

So much so that, achieved the diploma in administration, finance and marketingwill now continue to study.
